Business expo: The Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce will host the 2012 Small Business Development Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the CrossPointe Fellowship Hall, 8605 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach. Health care event: The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance will host “Health Care Reform’s Impact on Business: What you need to know now” at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at the Polo Grill Bar, 10670 Boardwalk Loop. A team of experts from the medical, insurance and accounting fields will answer questions and address issues of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The cost is $25 for members and nonmembers.

Chamber lunch: The Manatee Chamber of Commerce will host a Power Networking Lunch for chamber members from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22 at Woody’s River Roo in Ellenton.
